]]>If you’re looking for somewhere to get your green on and throw back a pint, then look no further than Ocean City! From parades to live music, the town has everything you need to have an amazing weekend.
March 16th 12pm
The big event of the weekend, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a beloved tradition in Ocean City that’s been around for nearly 45 years. The parade route starts on 57th Street and ends at the judging table on 45th Street. This parade is a highlight of the weekend featuring colorful and fun floats from countless local businesses and organizations, marching bands, and of course, lots and lots of green!
But the fun doesn’t stop with the parade. At the end of the parade on 45th Street is the Irish Festival, complete with live music from the Pat O’Brennan Trio, performances by Irish dancers, and plenty of green parade souvenirs, and of course, we can’t forget a variety of beers.
With free admission, it’s the perfect way to kick off your St. Paddy’s festivities.
March 16th 12pm
For music lovers, Seacret’s Irie-ish Music Fest promises a day and night filled with amazing live entertainment. Starting at 12pm and featuring seven bands and four DJs, including a special appearance by the Ocean City Pipes & Drums, this festival is a celebration of local talent as well as Irish culture. With so many acts, there’s something for everyone.

Lace up your running shoes and join the St. Patrick’s Day 5K. This race runs along the scenic Ocean City Boardwalk. Starting behind Shenanigan’s Irish Pub on 4th Street, participants will run south toward the Inlet before heading north to 16th street and finally ending at 4th Street again.
If you want to get active before your night of partying, then sign up for the run here.
Of course, these events aren’t the only thing going on around town. Plenty of businesses will have live music and special menus to celebrate Irish culture.
No St. Patrick’s Day weekend would be complete without plenty of live music, and Ocean City delivers that and more! Here’s a few of the many restaurants and bars with special live music and performances throughout the weekend:

]]>The post OC Art League March 2024 Exhibits appeared first on OCMDHotels.
]]>With six new features, you’ll want to set aside some time to explore the Ocean City Art League this Month! In honor of Women’s History Month, the Thaler Gallery proudly presents “Women in the Arts: Nature, Nurture, Change,” showcasing the unique perspectives of Jeri Alexander, Sue Bromm, and Lisa Tossey. Each artist received money from the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore to create thought-provoking works.
Jeri Alexander’s installation, “Thirty,” delves into the complexities of turning 30, using a mix of sculpture and video to symbolize the flow of time. Sue Bromm’s series, “Embracing Uncertainty,” employs eco-printing techniques, a sustainable and eco-conscious art form that not only yields stunning visuals but also fosters a profound appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the natural world. It serves as a powerful testament to the creative possibilities that emerge when art and nature intertwine! Lisa Tossey’s work focuses on the impact of climate change on local habitats, using a birds-eye view along with ceramics to depict local endangered landscapes and species such as the Bald Eagle in a Dorchester County Marsh.
In addition to this inspiring exhibit, the gallery features other notable artists such as Nina Mickelsen, who’s bright blue art will catch your eye and Donna Finley, who captures beautiful pastel landscapes of the Eastern Shore. Lisa Scarbath and Pat Land are featured in this month’s Artisan Showcase with some truly unique pieces ranging from steampunk crab plaques to embellished starfishes and sea turtles.
Also on display is Itzel V. Aguilar’s powerful collection, “Nunca Fue Tu Culpa (It Was Never Your Fault),” which explores themes of healing and self-discovery through vibrant colors and symbolic imagery and “Life in Motion” featured in the Sisson Galleria. This is a collective exhibit of local artists and art league members.
With such a diverse array of captivating exhibitions, we encourage you to check out the Ocean City Art League this month before it inevitably changes in April!
