There's nothing like the smell of fresh salt air. But mix in the scents of some newly laid boards and it only gets better.

The Ocean City boardwalk project is a 2 year project but the south end is already looking great. The North end is getting there too, but they still have a few streets to go.

On the corner of S Division and Philadelphia Ave (a stone's throw from the Oceanic) there's a sweet little spot where you can enjoy the bay and take in an amazing Ocean City sunset.

Check out Sunset Park on any Thursday this July and August for some live music.

As Ocean City enters the beginning of winter there is already plenty of talk about upcoming events for 2012.

Some of the 2012 events could include:

• The High Tide Music Festival is showing lots of promise if they're able to lock in any of the top three acts on their list which includes Paul Simon, Tom Petty & Red Hot Chili Peppers. UPDATE: The High Tide Music Festival has been cancelled for 2012 but is likely to take place in 2013.
• The 2011 Dew Tour was a huge success and is likely to return in 2012.
• As if the Coal Miner's Daughter Loretta Lynn who's headlining Springfest on May 4, 2012 wasn't enough -- Ocean City is working on a Summer Entertainment Series that could include multiple big name acts throughout the summer.

Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City Maryland is a great way to enjoy some fresh air on a winter evening!

The town of Ocean City is restoring the boardwalk starting from 27th Street - 25th Street, in front of the flagship hotel.

I can't wait to see how it turns out!
