America’s East Coast premier sport kite competition happens each autumn in Ocean City, Maryland during Sunfest.
The Kite Festival hosts thousands of kiting enthusiasts showcasing their aerial displays of art.
The festival includes days of competitions, games, relays, mass ascensions, and workshops. Skilled kite flyers offer free lessons in between demonstrations. Watch for the “Rev Riders,” a demonstration team, candy drops, Rokkaku battles, and nighttime kite fly events.
Admission is free for this family event.
