On July 6, 1984, Harrison's Harbor Watch Restaurant opened its doors to the public. It was immediately accepted with overwhelming response from its patrons. Because of this, the original outside deck overlooking the inlet on the 2nd floor was enclosed for additional dining. In the following years, Harrison's Harbor Watch gained still greater popularity forcing it to expand in the winter of 1986 - 1987 and again in the winter of 1992 - 1993 to its present size and capacity. In 2001, we proudly introduce our new glass cab elevator, allowing our customers easier access to our second floor.
Throughout the years, the oceanfront restaurant has remained unscathed through numerous tropical and winter storms in addition to the violent and destructive Hurricane Gloria in 1985, Charlie in 1987, the Nor'easter of 1992 and the storm of the century in 1993.
