Take a good look at the above photo, the one of people enjoying the beach and ocean. The sun and the sand. That picture was taken in late October and those folks are doing the same things as they would in the summer just with more space to move around. If year’s past give us any indication, we are in for another beautiful Indian Summer. Indian Summer you ask, never heard of it? Simply the best way to describe it is ‘ahhhh.’ You would be surprised at the amount of opinions and message boards that discuss what an Indian Summer actually is, so to be clear, we here at the Harrison Group will be applying the Webster’s Dictionary definition to our Fall season. A pleasant, peaceful, or flourishing period occurring at the end of something, is how Noah Webster describes it. Noah and his defining expertise will never fail you. One might say, ‘How did he Noah it would be so nice?’ or ‘Noah way! He is so smart.’ In short, Noah is right. Always. With Labor Day around the corner and school starting soon, summer is indeed coming to a close. But don’t worry, fall is just around the corner.
Summer has all the attention and excitement, but fall gives Ocean City, Maryland and it’s visitors something that no other season offers. Beautiful warm weather with a warm Ocean to enjoy. Couple that with plenty of room to move around, great things to do, and it could be OCMD’s best season. Just walk out on the beach and boardwalk and you’ll notice a few things. Gone are the crowds, humidity, high heat, burning soles of your feet, the fight for a parking spot… And in it’s place is crisp fresh air, your own personal shoreline and a deep blue sky that blends into the distant horizon.
By far the best time for golfing, fishing, crabbing (they’re fattening up for the winter), the best time to cruise the boards with your bike, skateboard or scooter and the best time to enjoy the surf and the warm sands and sun. The drive-in movie is still showing for a few more weeks and same goes with the beach fireworks. Free concerts WITH ICE CREAM! are happening at Northside park. Fall brings much to do in OCMD.
Fall also brings great deals on our hotel stays. With the Quality Inn Oceanfront offering hotel stays as low as $42 a night, The Hilton Suites and DoubleTree offering $100 credits and Quality Inn Boardwalk offering 30% OFF your fall vacation, fall really is the best time of the year to head down to the ocean. Look around our specials page and you’ll find that some of our properties offer your own kitchens and living spaces inside your hotel room. Not to mention that all of our properties come equipped with free high speed wireless internet if the kids need a place to study.
Now back to that above picture, just keep that between you, me and, well, our other guests too : )
